The wendigo comes from the storytelling of Algonquian speaking peoples, among them the Cree and the Ojibwe, across the northern forests of what is now Canada and the Great Lakes. In those stories it is a spirit of famine, greed and the deepest cold, and it is tied to the gravest taboo of a hard winter. A person who gives in to that hunger becomes it, growing taller and gaunter with every meal.
The lesson beneath the terror is about excess. The wendigo is what happens to appetite that stops caring about anyone else. Northern storytellers have used it for centuries to talk about the cost of taking too much.

The craft
Real ink, real weight, no plasticky patch.
This shirt is dyed after it is sewn, not before. The color soaks into the cotton and settles deeper around the seams and collar, so it wears in instead of out. No two come out exactly alike, and that is the point.
The art is printed with DTFlex, a glue-free transfer with clean edges and none of the thick plasticky square cheaper prints leave on top. It stays flexible, moves with the fabric, and will not crack, peel, or fade in the wash.

Print method
The art is printed with DTFlex, a glue-free direct-to-film transfer applied with heat and pressure. It bonds to the surface with clean, fine edges, with no thick plastic square, no glue residue, and no glossy patch. It stays flexible and will not crack, peel, or fade in the wash.
Care
Machine wash cold, inside out, with like colors. Skip the fabric softener, and air dry when you can. If you tumble dry, keep it low, and never iron directly over the print. Garment-dyed color keeps settling with every wash, so a little softening is a feature, not a fault.
