The water goes still. Then a long neck lifts beside the ruined tower, unhurried, as if it had always been there and only now decided to be seen.
The oldest account is from Adomnan's life of Saint Columba, who is said to have banished a water beast in the River Ness in the sixth century. The modern legend began in 1933, when a new road opened along the loch and Aldie Mackay reported a great creature rolling in the water. Urquhart Castle, the broken medieval fortress on its headland, became the backdrop for the sightings and the photographs that followed, including the famous 1934 image later admitted to be a hoax.
Nessie lasts because the loch is deeper than most of the North Sea and darker than tea. Nothing can be ruled out of water like that, and a good story needs only that much room.

Print method
The art is printed with DTFlex, a glue-free direct-to-film transfer applied with heat and pressure. It bonds to the surface with clean, fine edges, with no thick plastic square, no glue residue, and no glossy patch. It stays flexible and will not crack, peel, or fade in the wash.
Care
Machine wash cold, inside out, with like colors. Skip the fabric softener, and air dry when you can. If you tumble dry, keep it low, and never iron directly over the print. Garment-dyed color keeps settling with every wash, so a little softening is a feature, not a fault.
