A full moon over the Pine Barrens. Bat wings spread wide above a lone cabin, hooves on the shingles, a horse skull screaming at the dark. Something left through the chimney that night and never came back to be counted.
The story belongs to Mother Leeds of Leeds Point, New Jersey. Twelve children already, and when the thirteenth arrived in 1735 she is said to have cursed it to the devil. The infant changed in the cradle, sprouted wings and a forked tail, and fled into the pines. For two centuries it was the Leeds Devil. In January 1909, a week of sightings across South Jersey turned it into the Jersey Devil and shut schools and mills alike.
It endures because the Barrens endure. A million acres of sand roads, cedar water and pitch pine where a scream in the night has no obvious owner. The Devil is the shape that fear takes when the woods are that empty.

The craft
Real ink, real weight, no plasticky patch.
This shirt is dyed after it is sewn, not before. The color soaks into the cotton and settles deeper around the seams and collar, so it wears in instead of out. No two come out exactly alike, and that is the point.
The art is printed with DTFlex, a glue-free transfer with clean edges and none of the thick plasticky square cheaper prints leave on top. It stays flexible, moves with the fabric, and will not crack, peel, or fade in the wash.

Print method
The art is printed with DTFlex, a glue-free direct-to-film transfer applied with heat and pressure. It bonds to the surface with clean, fine edges, with no thick plastic square, no glue residue, and no glossy patch. It stays flexible and will not crack, peel, or fade in the wash.
Care
Machine wash cold, inside out, with like colors. Skip the fabric softener, and air dry when you can. If you tumble dry, keep it low, and never iron directly over the print. Garment-dyed color keeps settling with every wash, so a little softening is a feature, not a fault.
